public spaces
When designing the lay-out of public spaces, we think of the way residents and other people use them.
Accessibility, safety, sustainability and multifunctionality are important criteria for amer designs. We also want to make locations and routes recognisable. Detailing and lay-out are therefore an essential part of urban planning. We constantly ask ourselves:
Will a resident feel at home here and can a visitor find his way round?
These urban planning principles should be reflected in the main buildings and in the use of colours and materials. We base this activity on concepts like utility value, scenic value and future value. People have to want to move and stay in these public spaces. The public space has to look good and has to allow for changes in the future.
