residential areas

Residential areas are developed around people, around our social concepts of what living areas are and around the needs of the people who live in them. Our society is complex and the available space is limited. A good design will sustain itself in the long term.

By not concentrating on short term issues, amer designs are based on spatial and functional concepts aimed at usefulness and future value.

Not only spatially, but also functionally a new residential area has to become part of the existing environment.

Water features and green areas, pedestrian and cycling zones, utilities and social relations will 'link' a new residential area to its environment.

When designing a new residential area it is important to find the right balance between a seamless link to the existing environment and giving the area its own unique character. Each design is different and finding the right balance is one of the strengths of amer.  Integral quality is one of our principles, both for the short and the long term, because our designs can stand the test of time.
